Web3 Gaming Overview

Web3 gaming is one of the most prominent sectors in the blockchain industry, combining the gaming experience with the potential to earn money from digital assets. According to Xom NFT's research, Gaming may lead to the influx of new capital into the market when the Bullrun season returns.

In recent months, we have witnessed positive signs indicating increased interest in the blockchain gaming sector.

We've seen strong growth in NFT games such as:

Mittaria: 0.2E → 0.4E
Creepz: 0.8E → 1.1E
Skyborne: 0.03E → 0.07E
Blockgames: 0.11E → 0.17E
Pixels: 0.1E → 0.55E
Parallel Avatar: 0.11E → 0.28E

So, the question arises: has the Web3Game market truly entered a new uptrend cycle? Let's analyze some key indicators to assess the current situation and prospects of web3 gaming.

1. GameFi Market Capitalization in 2023

Since the beginning of the year, the market capitalization of the GameFi industry has significantly declined, but October is showing positive signs of growth.
According to data from Footprint Network, the total market capitalization of GameFi tokens has now reached $6.65 billion as of November 6th, an increase of over $2.03 billion compared to the previous month.

2. Number of Unique Active Wallets

   Over the past six months, the number of Unique Active Wallets (UAW) has gradually increased, starting from late September and reaching an all-time high at the end of October and the beginning of November, with 1.18 million wallets equivalent to a volume of $7.88 million. This figure is slightly lower than the end of April but still higher than the average since the beginning of the year.

3. Top Blockchains with the Highest Number of Games

   • BNB Chain: 960 games

   • Ethereum: 769 games

   • Polygon: 471 games

   In the total number of games, we have the percentage breakdown of game statuses as follows:

   • Active: 28%

   • Development: 19%

   • Beta: 18%

   • Alpha: 14%

   • Presale: 12%

   • Canceled: 10%
